Hi, I’m CK.

I’ve been helping people find the right job or income path since I was a teenager. Not professionally, of course, and certainly not with a title. It just kept happening. Friends, family, coworkers, whoever needed help figuring out what to do next, I was the person they came to.

The funny thing is, I was always better at finding the right fit for someone else than I was at finding it for myself.

A while back, a health issue forced my hand. I had to figure out how to make money on my own terms, on my own timeline, in a body and a life that don’t always cooperate. So I turned the same skills I’d been using for other people toward myself.

It worked. And I realized this is what I do.

I see a lot of people over 50 reaching a similar crossroads. We’re becoming empty nesters or caregivers for aging parents. We’re dealing with health issues, layoffs, downsizing, early retirement, or workplaces that seem increasingly eager to push older workers aside. Sometimes we simply reach a point where the way we’ve always earned money doesn’t fit our lives anymore.

I created Midlife Side Hustle to research real ways people can earn money and lay out what I find: what they cost to start, how long they take, what they can realistically pay, and who they might be a good fit for.

I’m not looking for one perfect side hustle that everyone should do. I’m building a range of options because our lives aren’t all the same. You might need to work entirely from home. You might want a reason to get out of the house. Maybe you just need a few hundred extra dollars a month for bills or savings, or maybe you’re trying to build a full or part-time income again.

That’s the range I’m interested in.

Research. Write. Build Options.

That’s the job I created for myself. Now I use it to help you find income options that make sense for the life you’re actually living.
